Hello! Long time no see, how was your summer?!

Well its coming up to the end of the month and it's almost time for me to get back to work on my blog, I have lots of very exciting things coming up for you all in September which I can't wait to write about but for now I would like to give a massive thank you to the talented ladies who have share their time, energy and insight over the last month on my guest Pearl of Wisdom posts and I hope you have enjoyed discovering some new blogs too!

As one last treat I have a guest Feel Good Friday for you all, my guest poster today knows a lot about how to treat your feet and is going to share with us the benefits of Reflexology! I wanted to feature this on the blog because, well, firstly this gal is amazing and knows her stuff and is the perfect person to write all about it and secondly I know from first hand experience how amazingly relaxing and therapeutic reflexology can be, I am currently having some myself as part of my new holistic fertility treatment (I will catch you all up at a later date on this!) and have even been lucky enough to be treated by today's guest poster!

Well with out further ado meet Sarah...

It wasn’t until I started to study for my Level 3 diploma in Reflexology that I realised how we as people we don’t make enough time for ourselves, not even an hour of total shut off time for some self indulgence.  Being constantly stressed and on the go can have a massive impact on our mind, bodies and inner being.   Nothing gives me greater pleasure than to give an hour of peace, calm and relaxation to my clients on a weekly, monthly or one off basis.

Reflexology is a natural, holistic therapy that utilises human touch to work the body’s natural healing efforts. It treats the body as a whole – mind, body, emotions and spirit. The theory behind reflexology is that there are points of the hands and feet that are linked to organs, structures and systems in the entire body.  For example the right foot reflects that of the right side of the body and the same for the left.  It has been said that “the feet mirror the body”.  So if both feet are treated the whole body will be treated too.  Reflexology is cleansing and nourishing for the whole body, stimulating self healing, relaxation, balance and well being.
Reflexology creates a state of deep relaxation, aiding in the return to health.  It stimulates blood and lymph supply and aids them to flow better.  It also causes nerve stimulation resulting in increased energy, vitality and nerve energy flow.  Imbalances in the body can be discovered and treated creating balance and well being.  It can relieve stress and improve circulatory flow to the entire body.  Thus creating balance in the body as a whole.

Sarah is training to be a qualified reflexologist which she is hoping to achieve by the new year. She runs her own business Tranquil Times and lives with her husband and three children in Surrey, Sarah treats feet of all ages and has been all around the country spreading the reflexology love, she even recently did a session live on air with Absolute Radio. You can follow Sarah on Twitter @Tranquiltimesuk and @MummyGabs You can also find Sarah on Facebook do go and say Hello, Sarah would love to "meet" you!
